AI in Virtual Reality for Inclusive Employment Training
🎯 Project summary
This project studies how responsible AI can support virtual-reality employment training for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other neurodivergent users.
The work is connected to VRelovate, the Opportunity Tech Lab’s inclusive VR training platform. The project examines how AI might help create, adapt, explain, or validate VR training content while protecting privacy, fairness, safety, and human oversight.
🤝 Partners and funding
This research is supported by the Monash Business School 2026 AI in Research Industry Collaboration Grant and includes collaboration with CSIRO.
The collaboration brings together inclusive technology research, responsible AI, AI engineering, governance, human-in-the-loop validation, and partner-engaged translation.

- Review privacy, fairness, bias, and human oversight needs.
- Develop governance and validation outputs for VRelovate.
- Prepare partner-facing outputs that support future external funding and implementation.
